To prevent convicts from not being capable for jobs, some cities are not asking applicants questions of any criminal history. They think this will prevent them from commiting new crimes. An average of 25 prisoners come back the next week. A former convict Shelton Tucker says that eliminating the Criminal History question would encourage more people to appy for a job. Supporters point to a study that says criminals that have jobs and high wages are less likely to go back to prison. If criminals cant get a job, then they will go back to what they know.
